Help for Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Popup
Blocking
For other
browsers or third party popup blockers you will need to check your
program documentation.
The version of Internet Explorer that
comes with Windows XP Service Pack 2 contains a built in popup blocker.
This may cause some users difficulties if the page they are visiting
makes use of popups or links that open in new windows. Luckily this
feature is easily bypassed using the following steps.
-
When visiting
a website if you notice the following information bar appear,
Internet Explorer is letting you know that it has blocked a popup.

-
Simply click
the Information bar and select Temporarily Allow Popups.

-
Now your
Information bar should notify you that popups are being temporarily
allowed and you may click on the link that will launch the new
window or popup.
