OTHER ASSIGNMENTS

No late assignments will be accepted due to built-in extra credit options. Moreover, some of these assignments are options contingent on students turning in other assignments on time such as their papers.

The numbering on the assignments listed below will not necessarily correlate to the order in which they are due. These need to be submitted to TalonNet's drop box feature by the due date. The documents submitted should be appropriately titled: "Other Assignment 1: Plagiarism Quiz" or "Other Assignment 7: Second Reader Reflection for Paper 3." If you group assignment together like the first five, be sure you title that appropriately: "Other Assignments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5: Plagiarism Quiz, Pledge, and Activity, and Syllabus Quiz and Contract.

13 - 17.    Post-writing Reflection for papers 1 through 5. up to 10 points each/up to 50 points total

18 and 19.    Conferences with instructor.    up to 2 meetings at 5 points each for a total of 10 points (restrictions may be placed on when these can be completed. For example, the first of these may need to be completed by the midpoint of the semester.)

 

20. Up to 25 points by completing an efolio. (New fall 2009). Details TBA.

 

The assignments above offer 180 "flexible" points from which to choose to meet this category's portion of a student's grade: 10% or 100 points. However, the maximum number of points a student may earn in this category is 140 (In other words, the extra credit points in excess of 100 is limited to forty (40)).  Nevertheless, up to sixty-five (65) points may be applied to other missing work.
